Several alert readers clued us in to Josh Marshall's new word on the NY-23 race. This is clearly gimmick infringement. But at least Josh and I thought of it, which either brings me up to his level or brings him down to mine...

So, the people in this district will vote for a candidate who doesn't know the local issues, runs from debates and loves self-interest earmarks.

They are more interested that he be in Washington to help bring the president down. This is truly a scary. If this becomes the norm for the conservatives, it will marginalize them further, but they will get even nastier. God help us.

Owens is my personal lawyer. He defended me against my own boss and her boss- a right wing republican lawyer who's nominal husband lasted one term as a DA in our county before he got beat as a total failure. I just spent my day at Owen's headquarters doing a "get out the vote" phone marathon. I will be there, at Owens headquarters tomorrow and Monday and, guess what, a Democrat will be the Congressional representative for the 1st time in 150 years in my congressional district. If not, I will seriously consider eradicating the stupid population in my county by sucking them up into a giant vacuum on wheels which I will drive around the district, sucking up illiterates and reactionary people who populate this stupid fucking corner of the country. I will also have to designate some time, pissing on Hoffman personally before I move to Canada. Granted that Owens wasn't a real Democrat like yours truly, but he's pretty cool as an alternative to the assholes who have served in the 23rd. Whether he knows it yet or not, I will become Bill Owens's personal progressive "Jiminy Cricket" if he is elected. .I will expect assistance from my Progressive friends in that endevor. Obama pulled a move by selecting the existing Republican schmuck as the secretary of the army. Someone suggested that it was typical Chicago politics, what Obama did. If we win I will take back everything bad that I said about Obama.

here's what gets me. why aren't people nailing Hoff (no relation) on t.v. for losing the seat? we know why. because "everything needs to move to the right" is what they've decided this means even if it taxes logic.

If Lamont had lost - you think everybody would be talking about how great it was for the party? I don't.
